The sunburst trim block is a wonderful addition to custom quilting with applique. I have not found a way to make the center stitches connect as I thought they might from the block description, but it is relatively easy to trace around the applique using markers (Bernina QMatic) and then put a quarter inch echo around the design (in Art and Stitch) and then mask the marked applique for the trim block to stitch around. The circles on the edge of the sunburst trim block give it an extra flare that looks fantastic.
