This is a design for Lori Holt’s quilt top design "Millie's Dresses Quilt".  The finished measurements of the digital quilting design are 58.5” x 70.5”.

This Includes;

- Eight different designs for the dresses.
- Four designs to use as a filler (background, vertical bar, horizontal bar and circle)
- Three border designs. These border designs are “Millie U Border”, “Millie Swirl Border” and “Millie Piano Keys Border”. Each border design has a corner and a P2P or E2E.
- Two motifs to fill in the “Piano Keys” border designs.
- Printable PDF with instructions and placement guidelines.

No segment is taller than 12“.  If the throat depth of your long-arm is shorter than 12”, rotate your quilt top and the designs sideways.

Formats Included: BQM, CQP, DXF, HQF, HQV, IQP, PAT, PLT, QCC, QLI, SSD, and TXT.

Customers praised these quilting designs as "perfect" and "so well done," with one winning first place at the NC State Fair. The patterns are easy to modify for imperfect piecing and produce beautiful stitches. Some shoppers noted minor technical questions about fitting designs perfectly using the skew function.

These designs are so perfect for this quilt! I loved stitching every single inch of this one! Cee has done an exceptional job with the designs she created for Millie’s dresses. This is only the beginning for me using designs by a Bit Orange! My first ever entry into a competition and it won first place and 2 best of Shows(machine quilting and overall) at the NC State Fair. I'm just starting this set of designs on my longarm. I'm confused as to how I fit the design perfectly into my areas. When I created an area, let's say a dress, and then bring one of the dress designs in, the skew button on my Handiquilter Avante is grayed out. So I suspect I can't skew the design in. The design fits quite well but I want it to be perfect. How do I fix this?

Hello Jo, please download the files again. We updated the files with dresses with separate segments. Regarding the 'skew' functions, please refer to a Pro-Stticher expert.

Some friends in my guild were doing a block exchange for MIllie's Dresses Quilt so I got involved. It was probably doomed to be a UFO until I saw that Valeria Guimaraes was doing a Quilt Along with A Bit Orange quilting pattern. The quilt design was so well done. It was weasy to modify to fit into my not so perfect piecing. Cee Theo was very responsive to Valeria's request to a couple small changes to the design. My first time doing custom quilting like this. Can't wait to try more A Bit Orange Designs.
